Currently this situation is no more visible in the city. Due to the rapid development and globalization, the city\u2019s picture has been transformed completely. Not only the city-centre but even the suburbs of this location are witnessing real estate boon. The revolution in the retail industry has contributed towards the upliftment of residential real estate sector.Though on one side the rising industrial belts, office complexes, infrastructural growth or mega township projects have led to development of the city but unwillingly it has caused some harm to the environment. To expand the commercial zones even the city outskirts have been targeted. The extension in the retail sector in the settled locations has benefited the local public. Now there is no need to travel from one corner of the city to another to get the taste of your favorite restaurant food or to shop from your favored outlet. Most of the prime locations in the city boast shopping malls, food joints, multiplexes and other facilities for the convenience of the nearby residents. In fact due to the presence of these facilities, some of the locations are coming up with new residential projects. Even the citizens of suburbs do not need to commute to city centres as the retail line-up can be observed in these areas too. People living in localities like Aundh, Karvenagar, Kothrud, Deccan-Gymkhana, Kalyani Nagar, Magarpatta City are enjoying the presence of these retail chains.After Mumbai, Pune is the next city which has the potential to emerge as the prime metropolitan city. It is not only the residential zone where the retail chains are intensifying even in the commercial belts like IT parks are witnessing the outbreak of famous food joints for the convenience of the working people. The city has the huge number of population that belong to high income group therefore this is leading the demand for the international retail joints. The mega township projects are also integrating some renowned retail joints for the expediency of the dwellers.
