This has shifted the focus to areas that were before considered as down market. One such location is Bhandup. Few years ago, it was not at all preferred because it came with very few amenities and very limited properties were available. Whatever sales are witnessed is majorly resale of properties or projects by smaller builders.But it is not a surprise that Bhandup is undergoing through a series of transformation and becoming a residential hotspot of the city. Along the LBS Marg (the major road link with the eastern suburbs), due to the release of huge industrial land, builders in multifold have been flocked to occupy the vacant lands such that to build high-end residential projects as well as integrated townships.Mostly the part that acts as enzyme for the area is Nahur station. Mostly the people who reside in Bhandup east and near Airoli Link road are able to fulfill their needs because of that. The LBS Marg stretch is now decorated with mixed use developments, making Bhandup a hit on the block.
