\"pondicherry\"Pondicherry<\/strong>: Embellished by beautiful beaches and old French buildings, Pondicherry is a place to rejuvenate and that is why people come here and enjoy the antique feel of the city. The French quarters or the white town is one of the most famous areas of the city located near the Gandhi beach which is mostly built by the French people. Several new buildings were also been constructed in a similar manner. The prices of these quarters vary from Rs 12,000 per sq ft to Rs 17,000 per sq ft. A 1400 sq ft-2 BHK will cost around 1.7-2.4 crores, which is almost similar to cities like Chennai, Bangalore or Gurgaon, making Pondicherry a high priced city.But due to heavy tourism, the amount of garbage and hawkers in the streets of Pondicherry is shockingly high, affecting the elegance of the city. They say that Pondicherry is not the same when you litter. But people are littering in high quantities, making the surrounding disgusting.The destruction of cleanliness added with rising prices is obstructing the sale of properties. Many developers have said that the number of buyers is lesser than before.
