EC is a necessary document required at the time of buying a property or acquiring home loan as it certifies that the property is free from any kind of mortgages, leases or restrictions.Multiple companies have been come forward for creating the software that will create digitized EC. The state government has already approved many banks for enabling the online payment option.The application for EC can be made at www.tnreginet.net. But the certificate has to be collected from the sub-registrar’s office in person and can also be obtained through postal service. If residents will get the encumbrance certificate online, they don’t have to make multiple rounds to the office of registrar for the certificate but easily download and print.The online system will put an end to the hassles of obtaining the certificate from the office.
