E-stamping is a computer-based application that allows carrying out the process of stamp duty in an electronic way. E-stamping is not only beneficial for the users but also for the government officials.E-stamp certificate can be generated within few minutes and that also hassle-free. This certificate is tamper-proof and has a unique identification number which prevents it from duplication. It is the secured form of performing stamping activities. E-stamping also helps in cutting-down the government expenditure. Documents such as Sale Agreement, Power of Attorney, Conveyance, Gift, Exchange of property, Partition etc. can be e-stamped. E-stamping is been developed and adapted by Stock Holding Corporation of India Ltd (SHCIL).
