To get approval for the property a developer has to go through at least 15 different offices and process of getting approval can stretch for 2 years.Now-a-days developer has to acquire 40 to 50 clearances from various civic body departments these conditions are known as the Intimation of Disapproval (IOD) conditions. Satisfying these conditions imply that the project has been approved by the Government of India.Developers are insisting on reducing the time period for the approval of the projects by introducing fast clearance process.Increasing population and High incomes will never reduce the housing demand in the India. Right now, India has the shortage of 31 million houses out of which around 83 percent shortage is in the economically weak and low income groups. According to the McKinsey report it is estimated that the shortage of houses will increase to 38 million units in the year 2030.The Andhra Pradesh government has applied many improvements in real estate to reduce the housing shortage condition in the state which includes faster approvals and land reforms to protect green land. The improvement in the clearance system will help to reduce the shortage condition in India.According to India&#8217;s current situation India needs to create 700 million to 900 million sq meters of residential and commercial space every year to meet the demand in the country.
