Do you feel you simply have to do something to add life to your walls? Well, you may know that there a number of ways to decorate your walls. You can buy art work and hang them up on different walls of your home. You can also use textured paint to create a different effect. Using photo frames to cover your walls of you can even use beautiful wallpapers. But what if you decorate your walls by yourself? That is what if you turn your walls into the beautiful masterpieces you want to and at the same time showcase your creative talent? Here are a few do-it-yourself projects that can turn your boring walls into happening ones and that too at a cost that will probably be a fraction of what you would have needed to spend if you would have opted for that expensive paint job or the wallpaper.<strong>String it up<\/strong>:<strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-16145\" alt=\"string-art\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bharatestates.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/string-art.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\" \/><\/strong>Maybe you have all been acquainted a little bit of string art at school. It is an inevitable craft lesson for most schools and we all loved it because it is so much fun! You can do this for your walls. The basic idea is to put pins on a plain surface to outline a certain pattern that you want to create and then wound strings around these pins to fill in the outline you have created.It would be pretty impossible to stick pins into the walls. If you want your art work to cover the wall find a big enough piece of board to cover your wall or place smaller pieces of thick cardboard or foam board all over the wall and cover with paper. You can draw on this board and fix your pins to outline your design. Then just pick the strings and wind them around the pins. There does not need to be any definite pattern for winding the strings. It will be best to choose a lot of small designs if you are intending to cover the wall because a big design will be too hectic to put strings up.<strong>Herringbone pattern art:<\/strong><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-16146\" alt=\"herring-bone\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bharatestates.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/herring-bone.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\" \/><\/strong>The pattern resembles the backbone of a herring. It is becoming pretty popular and though you can buy a herringbone pattern picture about in any store that sells paintings you will save a fortune and also have the self satisfaction of having created a piece of abstract art at its best.To start, take a blank canvas and paint it over with multiple colors. You can use whatever colors you want and in whatever pattern it does not matter. In fact an erratic pattern will be better than a regular pattern. Once you are done painting cover the painting with a masking tape forming a herring bone pattern. Leave equal amount of space between adjust pieces of masking tape. Then pick any color that agrees with you and paint all over the canvas which means over the masking tape areas and also the spaces between them. Once you peel off the masking tape you will find that a pattern of herring bone has emerged as only paint between the spaces between the masking tape remains over the original disorderly painting you have done before.<strong>Cover with photos<\/strong>:<strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-16147\" alt=\"photo-wall\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bharatestates.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/photo-wall.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\" \/><\/strong>You may have heard of decorating a wall with photos framed in a neat manner with the right matting and perfect frame and hanging them on the wall in a neat layout. But what do you do if you do not like being so neat? Well there is an easy way out. Take a lot of pictures of all color and of all objects and put them on the wall. Fill the wall with pictures or cover a certain section of it. It would be best if the pictures are only of a certain size. If you think a wall full of photos will be too monotonous you can always break it up with some other wall hangings.<strong>Shoe box art<\/strong>:<strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-16148\" alt=\"shoe-box\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bharatestates.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/shoe-box.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\" \/><\/strong>You can create small box shelves with shoe boxes. Just paint the boxes with bright colors or cover them with beautifully designed paper. It would be best if you paint the outer and inner walls and cover the bottom with a pretty patterned paper. Hang the boxes on you walls and place light weight show objects in them.There are a number of other ways to decorate walls like using stencils or making a collage with posters or sewing different pieces of fabrics together to make a mixed quilt and hanging it up instead of covering yourself with it.
