One can easily guess the magnitude of this extraordinarily project that is aspiring to leave its dent across six states in the country. It will be primarily a planned industrial zone that is planned to escalate the level of infrastructure. One of its part is being developed (with Japanese assistance) around Shendra &#8211; Bidkin belt in Aurangabad and that&#8217;s why it is called as &#8220;Shendra \u2013 Bidkin Industrial Park&#8221;. The SBIP is planned with great expectations to back the industrialization (esp. manufacturing units) which is a necessary factor in the improvement of gross domestic product.<strong>About Shendra<\/strong>About 17 Km from Aurangabad, MIDC (in 1990) had acquired more than 900 hectares of land to set up a five star industrial zone. Shendra village is now transmogrified into a high-tech area that caters to companies like Audi, Skoda, Wockhardt, Perkins etc.<strong>About Bidkin<\/strong>Bidkin is a big calm village in Aurangabad district with feeble development. But after the DMIC proposal for the SBIP, an acquisition of around 10,000 hectares of land is in process. The industrial park project is meant to develop the village and encourage employment and improve amenities.<strong>Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Project<\/strong>With major investor as Japan, the DMIC project will be spread across states: Delhi, UP, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra. It will be a global manufacturing zone that will highly improve in generating employment, industrial output and exports. With multiple power plants, seaports, airports, DMIC is a big golden bird that will shower the feathers of change in the country.It is funded by private-public partnership and foreign investment as mentioned above and will be spanning around 1483 km all over the country.What is<strong> 2-3-4-5 benefit<\/strong> in the context of DMIC?It is double employment (2), triple industrial output (3) and quadruple exports (4) from the region in five years (5).<strong>Shendra Bidkin Industrial Park<\/strong>With 8400 hectares of land, the Shendra Bidkin Industrial park is a major industrial location in the Aurangabad belt to be built with foreign support. From American planning to Japanese technology, the SBIP will be developed to the threshold to cater to cutting edge engineering and automobile firms. According to the government of India, the industrial park is set up on the lands which are declared infertile and waste. Seven National Investment and Manufacturing Zones (NIMZ) are also proposed to come complimentary with this project. Also exhibition\/convention centre will also be made around Shendra region.<strong>How it will help?<\/strong>DMIC will be helpful in meeting the challenges and pressure of the future and support the economic growth. With heavy infrastructure, power and water projects in the pipeline, this project has every ability to uplift the faces of many cities.<strong>Protest<\/strong>Lokshakti Abhiyan Yatra is opposing the land acquisition by the government by saying it is a bittersweet development. The organization is creating a sense of negativity in the conscience of farmers for giving the lands away to the government and generating a strong emotion among the farmers, not to give land in any circumstance. However the government declared that most of the land is infertile and the owners are getting proper compensation.However housing sectors makes a happy face.
