These are narrow and straight candles that vary between 6 to 18 inches. They got their name from the fact that previously they were used to keep tea warm.As there are different kinds of candles there are also different kinds of candle holders. Practically any surface used to hold a candle can be called as a candle holder. In case of metal, different cutouts are made on the covering surface so that the light from within emerges in the respective patterns. If colored glass is used then colored light is emitted.
