\"\"A housing society can be defined as a group of house owners residing in the same building, apartments<\/a> or the premises who form a society as per the laws and regulations to have a smooth functioning of utilities and other facilities which are provided to them. A group effort can solve any issue easily and if needed the issue can be taken to higher levels. In a housing society basically all the issues related to the building premises and amenities in it are solved.\u00a0 Once the society is formed as per the Indian laws the members jointly can make the standards to utilize the amenities and other functioning in the premises like cleaning, parking, common area utilization, garden maintenance, etc. These entire standards are made to smoothen the functioning of the society and optimum utilization of the facilities.The housing society formed must be registered with the registrar of the cooperatives. Each estate has its own rules and regulations regarding formation of housing society. If in one premises there is more than one building then they can form housing society of separate building or just one society of all buildings as per the consent of all the members. These housing societies run on the fee that is charged to each flat<\/a> owner. The amount of fee is again decided by the members of the housing society. This amount collected on monthly basis or yearly basis is used for the betterment of the housing society like repair works, maintenance of amenities and facilities or any extra work. The housing societies have many practical advantages over the flat ownership.The registration of a housing society is a legal process which is required to be done in a specified procedure. There are some agencies that help in formation of societies as they know all the rules and regulations to form a society and can be time saving. These agencies coordinate between the busy builder<\/a> and the flat owners and thus complete the process of registration and transfer of the builder\u2019s project to the society.The housing society is also responsible for appointing various service providers who take care of the maintenance of the society. \u00a0The housing society also is responsible for settling resident issues and ensure better functioning of the overall community.
