But there are some lakes as well in and around the city and these places make a perfect place to hang out with friends or family.At the western side of the largest city of state situated the Vastrapur Lake. As the name suggests this beautiful lake with equally good surroundings is located in the Vastrapur area. Such kind of water bodies in a busy city requires timely maintenance in order to retain its beauty. And this beautification and renovation work was done by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation after the year 2002. The well done work has helped to make the place popular among youth and families to hang out. One remarkable landmark near the lake is the world famous IIMA that is Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad which is located just one kilometres from this lake. Even the Sarkhej \u2013 Gandhinagar Highway is also around the corner at a distance of five to ten minutes.The Vastrapur Lake area is properly developed by the government to attract visitors. Thus you can find here a magnificent lake, an open air theatre, children\u2019s play area with instruments, well paved pathway, proper seating benches made of stones, green lawn, etc. The walk way around the lake gives pleasure to the morning walkers and joggers of the area to enjoy the nature while exercising. No doubt on weekends and evening time you can see good number of people exploring the park or just relaxing enjoying the calm water of the lake. The Lake is surrounded by green lawns that become the venue for many cultural and social events. At the lake boating facility is also available. It is enjoyed by all kids and the young simultaneously. Sometimes the lake gets water supply from the River Narmada and at that time it looks more inviting. The creative landscaping using stones in the garden around the lake are worth mentioning.There are malls in the close vicinity and thus after getting tired of walking in the mall come here to relax and enjoy the nature while their kids keep themselves engaged in the playful activities in the safe area of Lake garden. The place is well maintained and looks welcoming. It can be a perfect place for a pleasant evening amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. Just outside the place you can enjoy the street food that is served by various stalls. Many new restaurants and food joints are coming up in the area to serve you better. This place is one solution to three questions.
