The effects of monsoon or any water related damage could be really detrimental to any construction. Therefore waterproofing is a smart way to tackle this problem. Water-proofing is a method of preventing the water from penetrating into the building. When it comes to protecting your home, water-proofing is one of the most important solutions which actually help.Here are some waterproofing to protect your home:<strong>1. Repair the holes, cracks before waterproofing:<\/strong>Before waterproofing, it is very necessary to clear all the holes and cracks. Leaks are caused by the cracks and the holes. Fill the cracks with the standard waterproofing mixture. After applying the mix, smooth it with trowel so that there are no air pockets left and it remains compact.<strong>2. It is one of the most beneficial products that can be used for water proofing in your home.5.\u00a0<strong>Sheathing method:<\/strong>We have two types of sheathing, thin structural sheathing and rigid foam sheathing. Most of the sheathing generates very rigid waterproof drainage plane. The structural sheathing is approximately 1\/8 inch thick. It has a water-proof surface that connects to the drainage plane. The rigid foam sheathing provides insulation as well as covering. It also offers drainage plane for the walls above grade and foundation walls below grade.<strong>6. French drain for major water issues:<\/strong>A French drain consists of a continuous structure of piping, running beneath the floor of the basement and along the entire perimeter of the basement. Installing a French drain is similar to installing a sump. A French drain will always include a pump for removing any water which gets into the drain system.<strong>7. Non-Toxic Sealant:<\/strong>Most of the non-toxic sealants are water-based, but still it can be used as a waterproofing product. You can use this sealant to close the gaps in the drainage plane which are a result of giving space for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bharatestates.com\/blog\/why-should-you-choose-energy-efficient-doors-windows\/\" target=\"_blank\">door and windows<\/a>.You can not overlook the problem of water damage as it cause serious damage in the long run.
